The Tigers were sponsoring an event called Pink Out the Park in cooperation with The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute to honor breast cancer survivors and support breast health awareness. A percentage of the ticket sales for that night were designated for the cause.
It was a freezing cold night and I took this photo of the temperature on the scoreboard at 9 o’clock as proof of the frigid air. I had a blanket and was wearing 5 layers of clothing thanks to the foresight of my sister-in-law Shirley and I was glad for every layer. We were at the game courtesy of Dave’s brother Bill and his wife Julie who gifted us with the tickets and Dave’s brother Paul and his wife Shirley who provided our ride to Comerica Park where the Tigers play.
Although the temperature was cold we a good time and even got to enjoy some of the fireworks as we walked to the bus that would take us back across the USA and Canadian border to our car.
