Our house is right on this course. Dave played his third round at Sidewinder as well with three interesting gentlemen from three different American states. His fourth round was back at Mountain Brook with Eric and Ernie two guys who are on his slow pitch team in Manitoba who have winter homes here in Gold Canyon.

supper with friendsEnjoying dinner guests Ric and Helen who are friends, former neighbors, teaching colleagues and fellow church members of ours from Steinbach. They own property in Arizona and have been coming here for the winter for several years already. Going to see the movie Hyde Park on the Hudson. Dave got in for the seniors rate!dinner at de la cruz

Great Mexican food at de la Cruz a little place not far from where we live.  It was too cold the night we were there to eat on the patio, but it looks charming and we’ll be sure to go back again to enjoy it. I found out de la Cruz is a Spanish surname that means ‘of the cross.’ I had shrimp tacos that were excellent!
